Term: January 1, 2014 – December 31, 2017
Research Background and Interests:
My research focuses on the factors and processes that lead to the successful development, implementation, use and exploitation of information systems in organizations. I am particularly interested in the transformations and adaptations that take place within organizations as a result of the introduction of information systems. I am also interested in related areas such as strategic alignment of IT, business value of IT and IT governance.
In reviewing papers I particularly focus on the theoretical contribution of the papers and how they advance our conceptualization and understanding of IS-related phenomena.
I have used a variety of methods in my research and am open to all methods, including qualitative and quantitative methods. In particular, I am comfortable with positivist qualitative methods, surveys, experiments and with studies employing meta-analysis.
I am also interested in methods to estimate the magnitude of method bias and methods to control for the effects of method bias.
