My primary research interests are behavioral and organizational research. Specifically, I am interested in:

  • Managerial, social, and technical implications of work in distributed or virtual teams.
  • How information and communication technologies (ICTs) are used and integrated into work practices.
  • Human resource management issues related to IT professionals.
  • Use of ICTs in developing countries.

I take a multidisciplinary approach in my own work, melding research from MIS, Management, Communication, and Information Studies. I especially value research that takes a multi-method approach, using both qualitative and quantitative analytical methods to explore phenomena in teams and organizations. I do not have skills in simulation or analytical modeling.
