My research examines questions related to how organizations generate value with information systems. I’m interested in both determining statistical association as well as identifying underlying causal mechanisms. My research on IT business value includes how IT enables (or hampers) corporate environmental performance (another dimension of business value) as well as understanding the role of IT within broader environmental concerns such as climate change.

Research Interests:

  • IT business value
  • Information systems innovation
  • IS for environmental sustainability

Methodological Interests:

  • Econometrics (selection models, cross-sectional time series, etc.)
  • Simulation (Monte Carlo, bootstrapping, etc.)
  • Scientometrics
