Research Interests:

Generally speaking, I am interested in the impact of information technology and digitization on markets, organizations, and individuals. My research has focused on the following areas:

  • Online Trust and Reputation
  • Online Word-of-Mouth
  • Social Media and Social Networks
  • Online Communities
  • Consumer Decision Making and Satisfaction
  • Human-Computer Interaction

Methodological Interests:

I appreciate all kinds of research methods, and I have used a variety of research methods in my own work. Recently I mainly use lab or field experiments as well as econometric methods based on archival data. I am particularly suited as an SE for papers using these types of approaches.

I have a strong preference for manuscripts that are well-developed before submission. We all should be cautious about reviewers’ precious time.

I like papers that use multi-methods and/or multiple studies although I do not expect every paper to do that. I completely understand that each research method has its limitations, so using multi-methods/studies and triangulation in a paper could provide more robust and convincing results.

I like papers that bring concepts and theories from other disciplines into the realm of Information Systems (IS), and hopefully, the research can contribute to both the IS field and the reference disciplines.
